Well, Mark Steyn on NRO was making dire comparisons to 1934, complete with vague warnings about forced community service and uniformed youth marching in lockstep. On the other hand, there was certainly a great deal of thoughtful conservative criticism of Obama's proposed policies by such guys as Daniel Larison (http://www.amconmag.com/larison). But it's not like there are no sane moderate voices on the left either.
