Вам, однако, невдомёк, что превращение of the "Evangelicals" в как бы "государственную религию США" есть пункт в планах неоконсерваторов.

Сама необходимость ввести религию после убийства ненавистного либерализма, ( который основатель неоконской мысли, Лео Штраус сравнивал с Ваймаровской Германией и считал создающим ростки опасного для выживания евреев фашизма), все равно какую, есть одно из основных положений его взглядов, наряду с "благородной ложью", делением управляющих на "философов" которые выше морали и "джентльменов", которым не говорят всей правды, и которые полезны для управления массами, шифрованием учения и так далее.

В США основой для такой религии был выбран "евангелизм", как секция, признающая главенство евреев (в роли "старших братьев") и безусловную поддержку израильского проекта.

Кампания по пропаганде этого течения была одновременной с выпуском на экраны США "дискуссий дарвинистов с креационистами", вдруг откопанным ситкомом о христианском пасторе и его прихожанах и многочисленными связями политиков из администрации Буша с деятелями этих назначенных на главные роли "христиан".

Если знать this background, рассказанные вами истории совершенно неудивительны: где же как не в армии государство особенно топорно будет вводить идеологию для "младших братьев".

Только вы, не зная подоплеки, и высказываясь с традиционной позиции еврея, который борется с христианством (всегда, везде и в полную силу отпущенных ему возможностей), как бы сели в лужу.
Это - правильное, нужное, прописанное еврейством населению Америки "христианство". Это надлежит поддерживать.

My take on it is this: I have never had my superiors, in training and in line units, even ask me first about my religion. When I would mention, in passing, that I am agnostic, nobody (with one exception, but he was equal to me in rank and had a slight mental issue with religion,) would ever attempt to evangelize me, including the chaplains. In general, political correctness (in the good sense) and professionalism are so ingrained in our officer corps that to bring up the book of revelations in any kind of official situation, like a briefing, is about as accepted and expected as casually throwing out a racial slur. The situations described above are practically unhinkable to me. It's possible that somebody would lose his mind and pull some such shit in theory, I guess, but the second it got to the Inspector General and/or Equal Opportunity chain, their career would be ruined. I mean, I've never so much as heard the word "fag" used by an officer in any kind of official or semi-official context. So to me, this is basically a bunch of douchebags taking advantage of you and people like you, and exploiting your ignorance in order to make the armed forces seem like a bunch of bible-thumping retards, which is pretty par for the course these days. Of course, given that most of the population has never served, they are completely lacking a frame of reference and take shit like this at face value, which means servicemembers and veterans have that many more people prejudiced against them.

Again, I've seen higher-ups do some fucked up shit in my 7 years in, heard of a lot more, but nothing like this.

Your answer is no better than the flying crocodile's above, except that his view is that a bunch of neocon Jews are trying to turn the troops into obedient "Bible-thumping retards," while yours is that a bunch of liberal, latte-sipping, America-hating Jews (who else? the dude in the interview is named Michael Weinstein, after all, hmmm ...) are trying to "make the armed forces seem like a bunch of Bible-thumping retards." Did I say anywhere that I personally think that the armed forces are a bunch of Bible-thumping retards? I certainly do not think that, just as I don't think that the armed forces are a bunch of torture-loving, sadistic wackos. All this quote indicates to me isthat some higher-ups with fucked up religious ideas feel encouraged by the current administration to pull shit like this. Now, that doesn't sound that far-fetched to me, given the fact that the previous Attorney-General had ordered the tits of the Statue of Justice covered up and would open staff meetings with a prayer.

I have no idea what sounds far-fetched to you and what doesn't, but I can tell you this is obvious bullshit based on my 7 years of service. I'm not going to argue with you about the political and religious climate in the armed forces, primarily because you're not qualified in this matter.

Also, what looks like "obvious bullshit" to you may not look so to others who are "not qualified in this matter". I won't comment on Mikey Weinstein's suit, not having ever been in the USAFA and not being acquainted with anyone familiar with the facts of the case. I will say that while I've engaged in a good bit of shit-talking with peers, some of which was racial or religious in nature, it was all in good fun, and nobody took it seriously. I've never seen anything like what's described in the source, with superiors pushing their religion on subordinates.

I leveled no such accusation at you. Indyweek, however, is a different story. I'm not offended by anything you've said at all, but there's a lot of stupidity and ignorance coming our way from the media, and it gets deeper the further left you look, all the way to Ted Rall. Unfortunately, instead of actually being independent, most "independent" newspapers like the Independent Weekly generally follow the same ideology, which this article is a prime exhibit of.

Since you mentioned it, Fox News is better, but not by far-it's the same yuppie douchebags, just with a different corporate ideology. They're still life-long representatives of the chattering classes.

As far as Indyweek goes, it is quite annoying, what with their teary-eyed articles about the fate of a local Greenpeace commune etc. And don't even get me started on things like the Daily Kos.
